I just wanted to say to Skender that this song kicks ass. Love the dreamy quality of it, keep up the good work man. I hope it works out for you in CA. It'll probably be very competitive, but heck, you're good. Just hook up with a female vocalist, and add some sexy female sounds to your tracks, and I think you'll win the hearts of many! Good luck buddy ~ Rmm.

Thanx a lot man, people really seem to respond well to that one...

I actually did it for my sister, well her name is Jasmina, but that kinda translates into Yasmine.

She's a very kind and beutifull person, with a very strong and honest personality, so that's why there's a real mellow melody and overall feel over the upbeat, drum heavy rhythm section...

I actually plan on getting a female vocalist, I just met up with a girl here at Berklee (it's the college I go to...), so we'll see what happens.

But San Francisco is where I wanna go... I heard electronic music there is very much appreciated.. definitelly more than here in stinkin' Boston :( (Frown)

Anyway, thanx man I appreciate your comments :) (Smile)

Hey wazup, I'm actually from Romania man. I've been in the states since 1987 though. So I can relate to your music on that level too. But yeah, San Francisco is a good place. I've been there. Sunny and beautiful. People dress nice and they look nice. What does Jasmina translate to? Probably a dumb question, but why not ask... Well, I'll be keeping up with you dude, keep on rockin', and one day I will be able to say, "yeah man, I knew that dude back in the day..." :) (Smile) - keep it cool, razvan

Hey Skender, I think you should hook up with my Indian friend, a computer engineer who's hobby and interests have to do with music, technology, and infusing it with cultural sounds. His site is at:

http://www.khitchdee.com/about.html

Maybe you two should collaborate on stuff, I don't know what, but I'm sure a conversation with him would turn out interesting and who knows, profitable, musically and/or technically.

Let me know if you hare interested, and I'll provide you with his email. Both he and I live in Portland, Oregon.

He mixes music and records indigenous sounds from back in India, the closest thing I can think of to his musical likes is the group Sacred Spirit, Album 1. Here's a link to sound excerpts if you have not heard of this group:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000009CIO/102-4498142-435 0534?vi=glance

He's heavy on the technical, and just now learning about tabla, and other Indian musical instruments. If you guys mix your talents, who knows where it'll take you.

Let me know if you want his email. Meanwhile I'll ask him if he's interested.

Thanx for your comments man, I appreciate your interest and help.

Jasmina is my sister, and she's one of a kind, even though she's only 13yrs old. Very mature, focused and capable individual...at the same time, very down to earth, spontaneous and funny. Sometimes a lot more mature then I am :) (Smile) ten years older then her...

So that's how Yasmine track came about.

As far as your friend goes, yes I would be very interested in some kind of collaboration. You say he's Indian and into Indian instruments, and that's awesome, as I have been looking for just that exact thing. The semitone defined, non-western music characteristical on Indian instruments is really what I was looking for, as it could add another dimension to the whole thing.

If you can, point him out to the page, let him check it out, and then he can probably email me. My address is:

skendermakota@hotmail.com (logically enough, he he...:) (Smile)

Where are you from from Romania?

There's a guy here as well, but I know him from another forum, named Doru Malaia. He does great things for musicians worldwide, always extending help and hooking people up with free samples. He's great, I'll look up to see if I can find his webpage. He's really into Reason, and that's another program I use, so we help each other a lot.

I know what you mean, when you say that you see how I'm influenced, coming from the Balkans myself.

I don't know what, if there's some kind of radiation, or something, but I have never seen so many people with outstanding talents, than people from the Balkans. Good place to be from, right...

ANyway, thanx for everything, write back when you get a chance :) (Smile)
